On December 20, 2021, retired cadres of the local government of Chenzhou City visited the village and summarized four rules. The four rules are highlighting the function of political guidance, establishing the idea of serving the people, giving full play to the Party members and Party branch, and forming a good atmosphere of honesty and self-discipline. 

 

The village has been committed to economic construction, and vigorously developed the economy of professional cooperatives. 6 professional cooperatives have been set up in the fields of Bingtang oranges, oil-tea forests, safflower strawberries, greenhouse vegetables, rice seedlings and lotus seed production, not only generating an annual income of more than 50 million yuan but also creating job opportunities for more than 1,000 villagers. 

 

It made innovation in developing the shared economy for villagers, village-level collectives and enterprises not founded by the local people. The village rents more than 4,000 mu (about 267 hectares) of deserted rice fields, idle land and homestead to some enterprises for centralized operation. The income is distributed according to the proportion of 60% for villagers, 10% for village collectives and 30% for enterprises not founded by the local people, with an annual income of over 10 million yuan. 

 

Efforts have been made to actively develop individual and private economy. The existing 230 large and small shops, 11 small processing plants, as well as roadside stores and agritainment in the village are encouraged to develop, with an annual economic income reaching millions of yuan. Young workers are organized to go out to work and can earn more than 20 million yuan each year.

 

The total income of the above four items is over 90 million yuan and the per capita income of villagers is 21,785 yuan. The income of the village collective amounts to more than 800,000 yuan every year. Apart from the expenses, there is a balance of hundreds of thousands of yuan. 

 

In addition, the village plans to build Shaojigong Square integrating food, entertainment, sightseeing and shopping to further develop and expand the village economy. 

 

The village attaches great importance to rural cultural construction. Focusing on building cultural infrastructure, it has set up a village history museum. 

 

To inherit the ancestral temple culture, the only Li’s Large Ancestral Temple built in the Ming Dynasty has been preserved and renovated. 

 

To enrich the villagers’ spiritual and cultural life, the village has built such cultural infrastructure as cultural square, fitness square, libraries and reading rooms. 

 

To transform social traditions and advocate a new trend of civilization, the village has established an association and sports teams to inspect villagers, which profoundly changed the spiritual outlook of the villagers.
